Why You Should Glass Coat Your Car

What is the most reflective material that you can think of? Most likely you thought of something that is made out of glass. Therefore it stands to reason that the shiniest and brightest of all vehicles use a glass coating.

But the benefits don’t stop there. A glass coat can protect and aid your vehicle and make your life so much easier in the long run. Let’s find out why…

What Can Be Coated On The Inside?

The idea of a glass coating is to keep your car in the best conditions possible for as long as possible. Though it won’t make the car invincible, it is scratch resistant, will prevent oxidation, It will protect your bodywork from pollutants, dirt, road salt, acid rain, dust and even bird droppings.

Whilst a wax will wear off within a month or so, a glass coating should be good for about a year depending on where you live and what your car is exposed to. The glass coating is a protective additional surface that stops your paint from becoming damaged or faded over time.

If you want to see your car at its glossiest and you want to keep it that way, then a glass coating would be ideal for your vehicle.

Is It Actual Glass?

Standard glass would not be sturdy enough to resist the outdoor elements but a glass coating does have similar properties. The glass coating is made up of particles of Silicon Dioxide that are encased in a durable resin that repels the things you don’t want whilst giving you that shine you do want.

If you are wondering what it looks like we have some photos we can show but to illustrate it well, aesthetically it is the car version of hair gel. It gives that wet look that makes the car stand out, look smart and well presented.

First your car will need to be washed and dried so that all the surface blemishes and contaminants are removed. It needs to be as clean and dry as possible before adding the glass coat or those items will be stuck underneath between the coat and the paintwork.

Next you just need to contact us for a quote and we happily take care of the rest for you. When we return your car to you, you might think that we gave you a new one.
