Our feet walk everywhere. In the mud, in the rain, in the dust, in the sand and in the street. It’s no wonder that our carpets get so dirty so quickly. Even if you do your very best to keep them clean and hoover them regularly, there is still going to come a point where they are going to need more than the removal of dust.
This is where we come in! We have both steam cleaning and shampoo cleaning available so that you can choose the best for your vehicle and restore your carpet to the colour that it used to be.
Steam cleaning is also known as hot water extraction. A specialized steam machine heats up water vapor to a high temperature and then pumps it through the material, dislodging debris, dirt and dust to give it a thorough clean.
The water and encapsulated dirt is then sucked out of the material through a pipe that safely stores all the dirty water away for disposal. The high temperature and the high pressure of the cleaning method makes it very effective for cleaning many types of materials.
A lot of people choose this option simply because it is chemical free. If you have bad reactions to chemicals or are looking to put the environment first and foremost then this is a green and safe option for you.
This way of cleaning also has a much quicker drying time and is very good at removing fleas, bugs etc due to the high temperature at which it operates.
Shampoo cleaning uses detergents, soaps and chemicals to give your carpet the deepest and most thorough clean possible. The brushes and machine are designed to run at a lower temperature to the steamer but manage to get a lot deeper and remove much more than the surface dirt.
The machine pushes out the soapy mixture as a thick lather on your carpet which then needs to be brushed in and sucked back up.
This is the most ideal option if you are not allergic to chemicals and if you are looking to remove a particularly resistant stain or mark. This option does however use more water and takes slightly longer to dry.
Under normal circumstances, your carpets will likely need a good clean at least twice a year. However, this can vary greatly depending on where you live, where you go and what gets traced into your vehicle.
Therefore, if you see them getting dirty quickly, have spilled something on it, or have had animals in the vehicle an additional wash certainly wouldn’t hurt.
